These databases are available to all public library patrons 24 hours a day, everyday!

Access to this extraordinary resource has been provided by the The Library of Virginia*.   Anyone having a library card can access these databases through the Internet. If you don't have your own card please come by either of the libraries and get one. Your first card is free

To access the databases click "online reference tab" and choose a database. When prompted type in 10 and the barcode number on the Virtual Library Card for a total of 9 numbers or your library card number from your public library card.

The virtual library card can be used at the library to check out materials. This library card replaces any previous library card you may have. If this is your  first library card you will need to follow the regular library card application process in order to check out materials from the library. If you have any questions please call one of the libraries or e-mail webmaster@pclibs.org .

To access these reference resources at school or the library you  will need a parent's signature on a permission form to access the Internet.
