Searching the Internet- This class will include tips and tricks for doing effective searching
on the Internet. Learn how to narrow down the number of hits in a
query to find what you are looking for.
Microsoft Word Class -
Using Microsoft Word 2010, the class
will cover the basics of word processing, such as formatting, copy & paste,
spell check and other features of word processing. If you would like to
know how to create documents such as letters, research papers, etc..., this is
the class for you. Some basic computer knowledge is required for this
class. Must know how to use a mouse and have some typing skills.
Excel Class
-
Using Microsoft Excel 2010, the class
will cover the basics of spread sheets, such as terminology, formulas, formatting
and other features of spread sheets. If you would like to
know how to create and maintain spread sheets this is the class for you.
If time permits we will cover how to use Excel as a data base. Some basic computer knowledge is required for this
class. Must know how to use a mouse and have some typing skills.
Using Online Databases-
This class covers how to use your library card to access over
20 databases that include articles from newspapers, magazines, reference books,
radio and TV transcripts, practice test for GED, Law Enforcement, Citizenship
etc... These databases can be utilized anywhere there is access to the
Internet.
